This is a true icon when it comes to the history of functional outdoor clothes. The Rocky Mountain Featherbed vest was originally made back in the 1960's and the idea was to take the traditional western style garments and combine them with the new technical materials to make outdoor garments for a new era to be worn by lovers of the great outdoors. The jacket made of sturdy nylon filled with down combined with the Cowboy aesthetic using a typical western shoulder yoke became a hit and could soon be seen in every other ski slope!

The original Rocky Mountain brand made their last garments in the mid to late eighties and we are happy that the Japanese manufacturer 35 Summers Co gave new life to the brand in 2005.

The body of this jacket is made of nylon and and the filling is down, the lower pockets are made with two compartments one of witch can be closed with velcro. The jacket also has one inner pocket that closes with a YKK zipper. The yoke is made of yellow horsehide leather.

It's quite surprising how light yet warming this jacket is. The explanation
is that the nylon taffeta works like down packs, enabling the tri-layered structure of fabric, down and then nylon fabric again.
It significantly lightens the garment while improving the insulation.

Rasmus is 188 cm tall with a weigh of 78 kilos and wears a size 44.
