The history of the A-2 flight jacket runs back to the early 30's when it became the standard issued flight jacket used by the US Air Force. One of the main differences from it's predecessor, the A-1 jacket, is the addition of a zipper instead of buttons. The jacket remained in service up until 1943 and it is perhaps one of the most iconic leather jackets ever made. Many of the civilian causal and leisure styled leather jackets that became popular after WWll got their inspiration from this style of jacket.

This jacket is second hand but it is in great condition. Signs of wear can be found, but it's still close to being as new. While reading on Aeros website, one find out that this contract jacket is made with inspiration of an archive item, that exist within Aeros collection.

This version is a bridge between the early 1938 A-2 Jacket with a stand collar, narrower sleeves and more neater fitting than the more common 1942 A-2 jacket.
