Gloverall is a well renown brand from London and they have been producing duffel coats since their start in 1951. The story is that wholesellers H&F Morris, Harold & Freda where offered a large quantity of WWII duffel coats. This quickly sold and Harold son of a tailor got the idea to start producing duffel coats for their newly started company Gloverall.
Pea Coat is the name of the traditional wool coat worn by the US Navy during world war two. With its classic cut and well made design it has become a timeless garment that combines great protection from the elements in a well dressed way. The jacket can be buttoned both ways depending on which direction the wind blows, a detail that could be crucial if you spent your days on the cold north Atlantic sea.
This jacket is second hand. It shows small signs of wear and got lots of life left in it. A great catch for one who's looking for a well made pea coat.
