It was designed during post war America and intended to be worn by the growing middle class in a country that was looking at a brighter future, leaving the great depression and the war behind. Blue jeans became the outfit of this era and Levi's was one of the big names when it came to dress the population in sturdy denim garments!

The 1947 Levi's 501 deserves it's reputation as the mother of modern jeans. It's high waist and straight fit looks just as fine today as it did back in the 40's and it's no surprise that the 1947 501 is the most copied jeans today. Most Japanese brands have their own version of these jeans with some smaller changes and details but if you are looking for a classic pair of Levi's jeans these are the ones to go for! They have proven to stand the test of time and will most likely continue to do so for decades to come.

This second hand pair of LVC 1947 501XX Jeans has been used but is still in a good condition. A small but finely done repair has been made at the fold up of the right leg opening. This model was sold in a distressed wash, hence the tint and yellowish pocket bags. Take a look at the measurements below to see if the fit is good for you. These run small in size.
