This is a pair of second hand Mister Freedoms USN dungarees called Topsiders in the brands long time favourite fabric called Okinawa. The fabric is a indigo selvedge left-hand twill SC401 denim, with a blend of 50% cotton and 50% sugar cane fibers patented by Sugar Cane Co.
Mister Freedom is not about reproductions or trends, but creating historically plausible original clothes that never existed but could have.
The brand started out as a retail space combined with designs studio located in a red brick building in down town LA and today the brand is also producing a small collection of well made garments focusing on an ascetic inspired by the past with a purpose to be worn in your everyday life. MSFC is a collaboration between Mister Freedom and Japanese Sugar Cane (part of Toyo enterprise). And together they work on producing clothing that are made without compromising on material and manufacturing methods, in order to make things as good as it possibly can be done.
The pants are second hand but in great condition. They are based on WW2 US Navy dungarees. These pants have a mid to high rise. The Topsiders feature four patch pockets and the desirable 1940's wide military dungarees silhouette. MF also added the old cinch-back strap for good measure.
