Sugar Cane is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasen't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan and it is a reputation they still deserve!
This is a Second Hand jacket. The model is Type 3 from 1962, made by Sugar Cane & Co. The previous owner has just this jacket just a little bit and the condition is great. There is some fading starting to appear, but it´s almost in Mint condition.

Here's Sugar Cane's version of one of the most iconic denim jackets ever made! The type 3 jacket was first made by Levi's in the 1962 and its simple and iconic design has proven to stand the test of time since it's still made by Levi's up to this day.

The type three jacket was introduced in 1962 as an updated version of the predecessor the typ 2 that is a more traditional denim work jacket. The new Type 3 jacket was designed to be worn by it's time era, denim had become the fabric of choice for the youth and young adults and some styles like this jacket was here to stay.

The Sugar Cane version is made made out of a un-sanforized 14.25os selvedge denim, it is made on a vintage Toyoda shuttle loom that gives the fabric a tight and textured quality. The jacket has been washed, so expect no further shrinkage. The fabric is 100% cotton, made with an American/Zimbabwe blend. The fit is slim, the buttons are original style iron, it has two tone stitching and a paper patch. The shirt is second hand but in great condition.
