Sugar Cane is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasn't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan and it is a well earned reputation they still deserve!

This is Sugar Cane's version of a classic work shirt, made of a beautiful hickory striped fabric. Historically, these so called hickory striped garments were used so that the wearer would be visible. Which explains why they were common in work garments and especially in train workers uniform.
