Based on the waist overalls from the same era as the 1936 denim blouse, the '2025 model' features a wider cut from the thighs to the hem, reminiscent of work pants. While original models included buttons for suspenders and a cinch back at the waist, these have been omitted in this Sugar Cane original design. However, details such as the crotch rivets and the direction of the rear center chain stitch (right high) follow the specifications of pre-war models. The fabric, like in the denim blouse, reproduces the slub yarns of early, imperfect spinning, promising rugged fading and natural aging.
When it comes to the size these jeans are quite small in the waist so we would recommend you to size up one size from your regular size for a comfortable fit. If they feel snug in the waist when you try them on you can also expect them to extend a couple of centimeters when worn. The slim waist makes this a fit that actually works well on women too!

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you. For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
