TCB Jeans Tabby's Work Pants (TCB × Second Sunrise)

We are proud to present our first collaboration with our friends over at TCB Jeans! We first met Japanese denim company TCB owner Hajime Inoue back in 2016 and knew we wanted to work with him right away. Goods from TCB are characterized by the beautiful way they are sewn, exact but not perfect in a soulless way, the choice of materials which is usually on the lighter side of the weight scale so we thought why not ask Hajime if he wants to do a collaboration with us?

In our archive we have a pair of 1940's Swedish work pants and we thought it would be very cool to make a reproduction of them. Happily, so did Inoue! The original pants were made by Swedish work wear brand Algots. The most eye-catching detail is the unusual cinch, which is extended beyond its usual length and is fastened in the side seams. The extended belt loops that are divided in two are also a very interesting detail!

The result of our collaboration is the Tabby's work pants that we are now happy to be able to offer to you! These pants are made of a 10 oz denim fabric, which well mimics the weight and hand-feel of the original garment. There are two big front pockets and a small coin/watch pocket, and two big back pockets.
These pants were originally intended t be worn by workmen and at the right thigh you will find a pocket suited for keeping a measuring stick. On the back we also find the long cinch, which is expended into a loop on the wearers right side that can be used to hold a hammer or other tools. The cinch is also great if you want to adjust the waist measurement, making this a garment that will fit many body types.

A note on the fabric used: These pants are made of a selvage denim, but as the original pants were made with no visible selvage edges, these are made the same way.

Please note that these are only made in even sizes. So if your measurements are in between two sizes, we advise you to take a size larger as these are most comfortable if they are slightly larger instead of too small.

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

The fit is just perfect to wear for both men and women.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
