TCB Jeans Working Cat Hero Jacket

TCB is a Japanese brand inspired by fits and materials from the past and they strive to reproduce those iconic garments as closely as possible.

This jacket is inspired by what John Lennon used to wear. He was often seen using Wranglers, jackets and jeans. To TCB this always was a fresh look and for this jacket TCB got inspired by the model 11MJ from the 40's, which got is name from the 11oz fabric they used. Wrangler uses a left hand twill, in comparison to Levi´s whom uses a right hand twill. Left hand produces a softer fabric with more give than the more common right hand twill. This will also give a waterfall fade with time, rather that the more common raindrop that you'll see on Levi´s. The jacket is also Sanforized. Wrangler used to Sanforize their denim product, which meant anti shrinkage, anti twist and singeing (burning the fluffy hairs on the surface of fabric).
However TCB found during their research that vintage Wrangler jeans from the 40's-50's had a strong leg twist, so they decided to do a Semi-Sanforization. So the fabric wont shrink, but will still twist.

TCB produces their garments in their own factory. TCB's combination of great knowledge when it comes to vintage garments and a collection of old vintage machines makes this pair of jeans great in every detail.

The jacket is pre-washed so it wont shrink when worn. You can expect it to expand slightly when you wear it.

The last pictures shows you a comparison of TCB´s version and an old vintage Wrangler from our archive that have seen a lot of use. This is to better understand how the jacket will develop over time.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
