Tender is a one man brand based in England and the founder William Kroll makes beautiful clothes inspired by the history of durable workwear with a contemporary style.
What we like about the aesthetics of Tender is that the appearance may look simple at first, but William is always adding smart and interesting details to the garments, combined with interesting textiles that feel great to wear. As far as possible, all products are produced in England, from the weaving of the fabrics to cutting and sewing.
Type 465 Argyle Chest Pocket Shirt
An argyle is a weaving or knitting pattern composed of diamond shapes, often interlocking with thinner diagonal checks. The Argyle Chest Pocket Shirt is based on the Millwheel Shirt, with a diagonally angled square chest pocket forming an argyle pattern at the top of the left front panel. Argyles are a loose adaptation of the Clan Campbell tartan from Argyle in the West of Scotland, and were popularised in the early Twentieth Century by the Duke of Windsor.
Double Indigo Cotton Tote Cloth rinsed
Tote cloth is a simple, loosely woven midweight cotton plain cloth, usually intended to be cut into promotional tote bags. The surface of the textile crinkles and softens as it is washed and worn. This version is woven in England from a Japanese rope-dyed indigo warp and weft. It is the purest expression of the indigo yarn used for Tender’s denim, showing up its deep tones from purple to turquoise
The fit on this one is very wide and it gets a really nice drape and it is super comfortable to wear. Also keep in mind that the sleeve measurement may seem short, but given that the shoulders are dropped, the sleeve length fits well.
Douglas is 180 cm tall, weighs 87 kilos and wears a size 3 - M.
