This is Tenders version of a traditional Nato watch strap. The NATO strap, also known as the G10 strap dates back to 1973 and was first issued for the British army. It has regained its popularity to this day due to the functional construction and military design.
The vegetable-tanned Wattle leather used in these watch straps has been proven for its aging properties that becomes visible with time! It is tough and durable and will last a lifetime. The black color is painted on the natural leather giving each watch strap a unique shade and with time the black will age and fade in a most beautiful way.
Tender's Nato Strap is is cut, sewn, and foil embossed in England from leather tanned in England in a slow process. After tanning the leather is greased by hand, to keep it strong and supple.
The buckles are made of solid brass, a material known for it's durability and that will age in a great way when worn for years.
