Tender is a one man brand based in USA and the founder William Kroll makes beautiful clothes inspired by the history of durable workwear with a contemporary style.
What we like about the aesthetics of Tender is that the appearance may look simple at first, but William is always adding smart and interesting details to the garments, combined with interesting textiles that feel great to wear. As far as possible, all products are produced of Brittish materials and cut and sewn close to Williams new home in USA.
The Frock Shirt is a combination of a three-pocket work shirt and a tailored frock coat. The fabric is cut across the grain, with no side seams, and the shoulder seam is sloped back from the centre of the neck to the back of the armhole, connecting with the sleeve seam which runs along the back of the sleeve to the cuff. This way of cutting recalls 18th and 19th Century dress coats, where the sloped shoulder seam keeps the garment cleaner from the front, and the slight bias allows the fabric to be stretched in over the canvasses.
The shirt is cut with deep scooped tails, and is sewn with all-cotton thread and finished with dyed cotton-covered metal buttons and a Made in USA blue label.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured from the top of shoulder of the arm to the end of the cuff. Across Shoulders is measured straight across from shoulder point to shoulder point.
