Tender is a one man brand based in England and the founder William Kroll continues to make beautiful clothes inspired by the history of durable workwear with a contemporary style.
What we appreciate when it comes to the aesthetics of Tender is that the appearance may look simple at first, but William is always adding smart and interesting details to the garments, combined with interesting textiles that feel great to wear. As far as possible all products are produced in England, from the weaving of the fabrics to cutting and sewing.
The Drawn Knitted hat is constructed as a tube, then pulled together with a drawthread at the top, and hand sewn together, forming a gathered top with only one seam.
The hat may feel a little tight at first but will stretch and shape to your head over time.
Dyed with Annatto, a rich orange dye derived from the crushed seeds of the Achiote or Achiotl tree (Bixa Orellana) native to to tropical Mexico, Central America, and South America. Traditionally used as decorative body paint, and as a sunscreen and insect repellent, annatto was also employed in Mexico until the 16th Century in manuscript painting.
Annatto has a mildly earthy flavour and is used in many Latin American and South Asian dishes. It is also the dye used to give Red Leicester cheese its characteristic colour.
Douglas is 180 cm long with a weigh of 88 kilos and wears a size 5.
