This is a vintage Lee Westerner jacket from the 1960's. Lee introduced the Westerner-collection during the late 1950's and it was intended to be worn by cowboys during more dressed up occasions. It's basically their iconic "Rider Jacket", first introduced in the 1930's, but in a white 11oz cotton satin twill. One could say that the Westerner jacket got its fame and cult status through the movie "Kissin' Cousins" where none other than Elvis Presley wore the whole Westerner kit looking stunning as ever!
This jacket is a vintage piece. It shows signs of wear and got a most beautiful patina. It got a couple of small stains on the right chest pocket and tiny holes on several spots, see the pictures for details. The neck label looks like rayon labels do after a lot of wear but all the information needed can still be seen. All in all, a true vintage gem!
