This is a great example of a vintage E. Weiden Leather Tailor Motorcycle Jacket. An esteemed Melbourne outfitter located at 439 Elizabeth Street. The brand was founded in the 1930's and closed production in the 90's.
Known for creating garments with a focus on function and durability, rather than fashion. Their jackets were sewn to withstand the grit of daily motorcycle riding and top-down open motorcar touring.
This jacket is a fine piece and a great example of the history of Australian leather jackets, which we estimate to be from the 1970s. It is worth noting that the front zipper has been replaced, and the lining shows some wear at the cuffs and on the inside (see photo). The leather is in very good condition, with no visible wear.
No size label, but we estimate it to fit as a modern size L. Please see measurements below for a better idea of the size.
