These are vintage dead stock army surplus so called Snöblus (Snow parkas) used by the Swedish army in the middle of the last century. This cotton pullover jacket was made to be worn as an outer layer in snowy regions. The jacket has two large front pockets and a drawstring at the waist to tighten the fit. The hood is large enough to be worn over a helmet and the jacket has a double layer behind the buttons to make sure that the cold winds wont get through. There is also a strap that can be buttoned in place between the legs to prevent the jacket from catching the wind.
This jacket is very wide and intended to be worn as a protective layer above other clothing. We think the width makes it very nice and interesting garment and it is also super comfortable to wear! One could best describe this jacket as the Swedish version of the M51 Fish Tail parka used bu the American army during the same era.
These jackets are vintage and but has never been worn. They have been stored for decades but are now ready to be used!
