This vintage full length trench coat was used by the US Army in the 50s. Functional and formal at the same time and we do suspect that it was designed to be worn by people of a higher rank within the Army.
The coat ends just below the knees and it has a wool blended liner that can be removed if intended to be worn in warmer weather. But used with the heavy liner it is guaranteed to keep you warm even during the cold winter days. The coat is overlapping in the front giving it some extra layers of fabrics over the chest and it's closed with the four buttons. The coat also has two large hand warmer pockets and behind them there is a hidden opening that can be unbuttoned to reach the pockets of your pants. A chinstrap is located under the collar to keep the collar in it's upright possession if needed when the cold wind blows.
The jacket is vintage and has been worn. But over all the jacket is in great shape for it's age and will definitely last for years to come.
