The N3B Parka was issued in the US Airforce in 1958 with the description "for aircrew members in extremely cold environments." The jacket is a 3/4 length parka with four pockets, outer layer of nylon twill, insulated with a layer of wool and lined with nylon cloth. This garment is also known as the "Snorkel Parka", because the hood can be zipped up leaving only a small opening and the idea is that the exhaled air will heat up the inhaled air slightly as they pass each other in the tube formed by the hood.
This Parka is vintage and has been used a lot, but it's still in great condition for its age. It has a few stains and som small holes (see pictures) but nothing unusual for its age. The knitted wool cuffs and the fur around the collar has been removed but the jacket works great to wear anyway.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
